Summer heat is easily beat with that sweet little treat called ice cream! Today I’d like to share a fun way to whip up an easy ice cream bar with simple decorations and simple ingredients! If you’ve got an ice cream maker you can churn up a icy recipe or equally as enjoyable, just grab your favorite brand from the freezer! Set out some festive and yummy toppings, cones or dishes & spoons and call all your favorite peeps in out of the heat for a screamin’ good time! Take a peek…
ice cream dream!
it really doesn’t take too many ingredients to make up a self-serve ice cream station. a selection of sprinkles, chocolates, marshmallows and candies not only taste delicious but look so festive! the addition of some whimsical decorations will create a table that you just can’t help but fall in love with!
this garland made up of honeycomb ice cream cones is one of the most darling that i’ve seen…
letter boards are such a hot trend…and the best news is that they’re more plentiful now which makes them not only easier to find but less expensive! what a fun addition to the treat table!
and speaking of treats…a simple cake or cupcakes can be fun to include on a sundae bar. you can add a slice to the ice cream bowl like you’d indulge on a piece of shortcake! this krispie treat in the shape of a cone makes a whimsical AND edible topper!
i wrapped the can of whipped cream with a section of decorative paper. a simple way to make it extra cute and fit in with the colors on your table. i also used a vintage ice bucket for serving the ice cream. it looks cute and actually stays cold!
more sugar fix toppings…
paper treat cups filled with marshmallows, gummy candies, and sprinkles…
and these crispy chocolate pearls are delicious and unexpected! chocolate chunks are a nice alternative!
any candy that will make your family or friends smile is the perfect choice! and the colorful little spoons are just one of my summer favorite finds! (all product links at the end of the post!)
so grab some pantry favorites to keep on hand and you’ll always be able to satisfy when your family starts to scream…
